We offer personalized management of financial affairs for individuals who may not have the time, energy, or skillset to handle these matters themselves. These services are often utilized by seniors, persons with disabilities, or those with complex financial estates. All private contracts we make with clients specify that we operate as a fiduciary for our client and our services are tailored to the scope of a client’s needs. We ensure that our client’s financial affairs are handled with care, diligence, and integrity. We act in the best interest of our clients who have entrusted us with the responsibility. Our services range from consultation, to assisting clients in their decision-making process, to managing assets of clients directly with duties that may include:
Wealth Management and Estate Planning
We can offer a holistic view of wealth and estate planning. We do not make investment planning or specific investment recommendations. We work with your financial planner or engage one we are familiar with. We can assist with the creation and management of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents to ensure that the client’s assets are distributed according to their wishes.
Trust Administration
Overseeing the proper administration of trusts, including distribution of assets, tax filings, and communication with beneficiaries.
Power of Attorney
We serve as Power of Attorney for clients who want a trusted independent team to handle their affairs. A power of attorney is a legal document where a person who is requesting assistance names someone as their Attorney-in-Fact, a person with a fiduciary relationship to the person giving the power to act in good faith on their behalf. A Power of Attorney can be limited to specific property or specific types of financial transactions or it can be very broad in scope. A Power of Attorney can be terminated by the client at any time.
Conservatorship Accounting Services
We will assist court-appointed Conservators or their attorneys with their annual accounting requirements. We can offer consultation on the annual process so that you can curate sufficient supporting documentation in advance and to ensure you accurately file accountings. We can serve as the Conservator’s agent on My Minnesota Conservator (MMC) in order to directly assist with the accounting process. We are also available to assist with a Conservator’s audit process through the Conservator Account Auditing Program (CAAP) and Conservator Account Review Program (CARP) through the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
